After death of 19-year-old, Romania seeks revenge on 500 brown bears

16 July 2024 12:40 Last Tuesday, a 19-year-old woman was violently attacked by a bear while hiking in Romania. The woman did not survive. The bear attacked in the Transylvanian Alps near the city of Brasov. The woman was taking a hike with a friend. The friend managed to escape the rabid bear in extremis. It is possible that the bear in question has rabies.

McDonald's forced to intervene due to bird flu

04 July 2024 15:39 Australian authorities have identified bird flu type H7 in a dozen poultry farms in southeastern Australia. The outbreak is in the states of Victoria and New South Wales and in the region around the Australian capital, Canberra.
