CIA scandal: Agent drugs, rapes and films his victims
A US court has sentenced a former CIA agent to 30 years in prison for drugging and sexually abusing dozens of women, while he worked at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. He must pay $260,000 in restitution.
The defendant, Brian Jeffrey Raymond, pleaded guilty in November 2023 to charges of sexual abuse, abusive sexual contact, coercion, and distribution of pornography.
As part of the plea deal, he admitted to drugging and having nonconsensual sex with four women and nonconsensual sexual contact with six women. He also admitted to drugging and then creating pornographic material depicting 28 women, without their consent and drugging two women.
While working for the CIA, the sexual predator lured innocent women to his government-rented home and drugged them. He would then undress them, sexually assault them and photograph them.
According to the US Embassy in Mexico, which asked people with information to help investigators, the investigation began in 2020 after a naked woman was seen screaming for help from the balcony of Mr. Raymond’s Mexico City residence.
The woman later said she did not remember what happened after consuming food and drinks provided by the former agent.
