Businesswoman (59) leaves fortune to loyal housekeeper
A wealthy French businesswoman has left her fortune to her housekeeper.
The wealthy Frenchwoman moved with her then husband to Koh Samui, a paradise island in southern Thailand, 12 years ago. After their divorce, she continued to live there and in all those years she could always count on the support and help of her loyal housekeeper Nutwalai Phupongta (49).
Catherine (59) was believed to be suffering from cancer and probably committed suicide last Monday.
The Frenchwoman had also earlier transferred 500,000 baht (about 12,600 euros) to her housekeeper to pay for her funeral, according to police. She also left her entire estate to the housekeeper who worked for her for as many as 17 years. This includes at least five villas, other land, a car, and cash - all adding up to about 100 million baht (2.5 million euros).
