“The director drools over my mouth and breasts”
Former model and TV host Adriana Karembeu has published “Libre”, an autobiography in which she opens up about the most difficult events in her life.
In “Libre”, she opens up about a traumatic day when she was the victim of an attempted rape by a famous French director:
“One day, my agent asked me to meet a director. I went to his house alone for the appointment, naive enough not to be suspicious, as it's in the afternoon.”
“I ring his doorbell. He greets me with a smile, invites me to come in and sit down. After a brief discussion of the script, he gets up and moves closer to me on the sofa.”
And then, in the blink of an eye, everything changed: “He put his hand on his knee, then threw himself on top of me, kissing me agressively. I can feel his saliva on my face and breast.”
The ex-model is furious and defends herself: “I'm shocked that he dared to attack me, at the time I was thirty-five years old, and I gathered the strength I needed to fend off the vile predator and run away. If I'd been twenty, I think I'd have been more deeply affected.”
She decided to tell her agent about the misadventure and the disgust it had aroused in her. Her artistic agent simply tells her:
“I should have warned you, he's borderline sometimes, his reputation precedes him.”
