Elon Musk's offbeat offer: 6,000 euros a month to walk 8 hours a day

To revolutionize the world, Elon Musk has developed Optimus, a domestic artificially intelligent robot.

The Tesla boss has created the humanoid robot to assist us in our daily lives. The small problem behind the creation? Optimus is still a long way from fulfilling its role as an assistant.

As reported by Demotivateur, Elon Musk is currently looking for people to test and train the prototypes, in order to improve the robot's performance. To this end, he has published a job offer that is, to say the least, offbeat. The businessman is offering a salary of 6,000 euros a month in exchange for 8 hours' walking a day.

Good physical stamina

What's required to get the job? Good physical stamina, as the main task is to teach the robots to move. The advert states that successful candidates will be required to wear special outfits, equipped with motion sensors and virtual reality headsets, in order to perform “movements and actions according to project requirements”. According to a Tesla Optimus spokesperson, “the aim of this intense physical activity is to ensure that Optimus can be easily integrated into our spaces”. The physical demands of the job are therefore very high, since it involves walking 8 hours a day.

A flexible schedule

And that's not all since the new recruits will also have to perform all sorts of basic movements: standing up, turning, sitting down, stooping... all the while wearing a fairly heavy suit. In addition, the company points out that this position requires a high degree of flexibility in terms of working hours. Workers will have to be ready to fulfill their mission at night and on weekends.

“Note that using virtual reality headsets or working in a virtual environment can be disorienting and uncomfortable for some people, which can lead to symptoms of virtual reality sickness,” Tesla Optimus also warned.
