Missing man takes part in own search
A man who disappeared without a trace in Turkey spent hours searching for himself with volunteers without realising it.
50-year-old Beyhan Mutlu had been at a café with some friends. Firmly inebriated, he then lost sight of his friends for a while and got lost in a nearby forest. His friends became concerned after several hours and did not find their companion Beyhan again. Thereupon, they decided to call in the police. A large-scale search for the 50-year-old Turk was launched. A large group of volunteers searched for hours along with the police. The volunteers shouted Mutlu's name until their throats were hoarse. Suddenly, one of the volunteers shouted: "Who are we actually looking for? I'm here!", reports Turkish television channel NTV.
It is unclear how the drunk man managed to participate unnoticed in his own search. The missing man turned out to be walking around among the volunteers and police all the time. Beyhan Mutlu was safely dropped off at home by the police and the search operation was successfully terminated.
