Save water with simple adjustments
Our water footprint is still far too large. We all save by taking shorter showers, collecting (boiling) water to water the plants, regularly skipping a car wash …
But we can also save water for things we don’t think about.
Did you know that:
o By drinking a cup of tea instead of coffee once a day, you save 100 litres of water?
o It takes 1,700 litres of water to produce one bar of chocolate?
o By not throwing away any food at all three days a week, you save 790 litres of water?
o By eating (extra) vegetarian once a week, you save 1,300 litres of water?
o By buying second-hand jeans, you save 8,000 litres of water?
o By showering one minute less, you save 10 litres of water?
o By placing a water-saving button on your toilet, you save 5 litres of water per flush?
