Here's how to make sure your plants don't die
Some plants are stronger than others. But when a plant dies, we resign ourselves to that. But what's going on when most of your plants die? Radio 2 explains what can go wrong.
Watering
It's important to look at your plant's leaves. If you water your plants too much, the tops of the leaves will look brown and yellow leaves will fall off. When the leaves hang down and begin to curl, it means the plant is not getting enough water and is drying out.
Light
Before giving a new plant a place in your interior, read the plant's label. This always states how much light plants need. So pay particular attention to temperature, light and humidity levels.
Tension due to change of environment
Plants are also sensitive to changes. When you replant the plant in a different environment, it can cause shock. Be careful with the root ball when moving and make sure you take the root with you as much as possible.
Proper potting soil
Choose the right potting soil mix. Not every potting soil is suitable for your new plant.
