Character (18) from video game wreaks carnage on mosque
A boy as young as 18 stabbed at least five people Monday in the garden of a mosque in Eskisehir, northwestern Turkey. At least one person is said to be in mortal danger.
The young perpetrator was dressed as a character from a video game. He wore a helmet, mask, goggles and bulletproof vest and was armed with a long knife and an axe. He filmed his act and streamed it live on X.
According to Turkish websites, the man wore a "black sun" on his chest, a Nazi symbol consisting of three swastikas.
Police were able to apprehend him at the scene. For now, it looks like he lost his sense of reality by playing too many video games.
