Will the polar cold front hit France?
Most of the USA is currently freezing. Since the weekend, a polar cold front has swept across the country, reaching as far as the Gulf of Mexico.
This intense cold won't have the same impact on Europe, and France in particular.
For those who love freezing temperatures and are looking forward to seeing snow covered landscapes, disappointment is likely to be the order of the day. Although, as French meteorologist Guillaume Séchet explains to Le Parisien, the “American cold snap will bring a change of weather to Europe”, in France it will mean...rain and wind.
“When it arrives over the North Atlantic, it will put the disturbed ocean current back on track, resulting in repeated rainy and windy waves and a return to lower temperatures than those we're currently experiencing." “The weather will be very changeable, with occasional sunny spells,” adds the meteorologist.
