World-famous movie star suspected of gruesome murder of fan: is entourage part of plot?
The spotlight is on Darshan Thoogudeepa, but this time not for a positive reason. This Indian film star was arrested by police on suspicion of murdering a fan.
Darshan Thoogudeepa is a true superstar in India and far beyond. However, when a fan sent inappropriate messages to his girlfriend, his fuses allegedly blew.
Meanwhile, the rich 47-year-old movie star has been in jail for 10 days. Sixteen more people, mostly part of his entourage, were also arrested. They are suspected of murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy, among other things.
What happened?
The 33-year-old fan's lifeless body was found in a sewer drain. The fan had been brutally and barbarically killed, Indian police report.
After the fan sent inappropriate messages and photos to his sweetheart, the star actor along with the other suspects, all members of his fan club, allegedly kidnapped, tortured and then killed the fan.
The actor allegedly gave the order to lure the conscious fan for a supposed meeting with his idol. He was taken to a remote warehouse for the meet and greet, but was severely beaten and killed there.
