'Mark Zuckerberg fond of his new toy from the Netherlands'
Meta-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has given himself an extraordinary present.
Zuckerberg bought a brand new Dutch-made superyacht for a whopping 280 million euro, or 300 million dollar.
The Launchpad, as the Facebook founder's latest toy is called, is a whopping 118 metres long and weighs around 5,000 tonnes. The elegant interior was designed by Zuretti, a leading company in the world of luxury ship interior design, according to Italian medium Il Mattino. Inside, almost everything is present for a dream holiday: a cinema, a fitness club, a spa, a beauty salon, a beach club, an arcade, a helicopter pad and a complete basketball court.
The yacht's builder is Feadship from Hoofddorp, Noord-Holland, one of the Netherlands' renowned boat builders. Currently, Zuckerberg's Launchpad is docked in the port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
