Man with ankle monitor loses both legs after 15 minutes on new job
33-year-old John O'Neill experienced a dramatic first day of work as a tree chipper in the United States.
The man, who was free from prison and still wearing an ankle bracelet, threw a fish-hook shaped branch into the wood chipper after 15 minutes. But the end of the branch stuck to John's anklet, dragging him into the machine. He thus lost both his legs on his first day of work.
He barely survived this horrific accident. In the helicopter on the way to the hospital, his heart even stopped beating for a moment. He lost as much as 15 liters of blood. Miraculously, his life could be saved.
