Putin sends weird gifts to Kim Jong Un

Vladimir Putin has gifted dozens of animals, including a lion and two bears, to a North Korean zoo as a gesture of gratitude for Kim Jong Un’s military support to Russia.

Over 70 animals, including an African lion and two brown bears, were flown from Moscow to North Korea. The Russian government described the gift as a token of appreciation from Putin to his North Korean counterpart.

This is not the first time Russia has sent animals to North Korea. In April, Moscow delivered birds, including eagles and parrots, to Pyongyang’s central zoo.

In return, the Russian leader received two Pungsan dogs during a meeting with Kim Jong Un in June, where the two countries signed a mutual defense agreement. Earlier in November, Russia and North Korea officially ratified the pact.

To date, Pyongyang has reportedly sent 12,000 personnel to support Russian forces on the Ukrainian front.
