Doctor removes lung tumor from 5,000 km away
A Chinese surgeon successfully removed a lung tumor from 5,000 kilometers away from the patient and with the help of a robot, saving a patient's life.
The surgeon was in Shanghai while the patient was in the hospital on the other side of China in Kashgar. The surgery took only an hour and could be followed live on social media. The images of this difficult remote operation went viral. Doctor Luo Qingquan performed the operation with the help of several colleagues.
