Elon Musk surprises his community on X
Elon Musk sets out to turn his social network X, formerly known as Twitter, into a multi-purpose application.
In concrete terms, Elon Musk plans to introduce streaming TV and financial services on X.
Linda Yaccarino, X's CEO, said on her Twitter account: “In 2024, X changed the world. Now YOU are the media! In 2025 X will connect you in ways you never imagined. X TV, X Money, Grok and more. Fasten your seatbelts - Happy New Year!"
The introduction of payments in August marked the first step in the app's transformation into a “financial hub”, i.e. a platform where users can manage their money in the same way as in banking apps.
Musk also surprised his community by changing his name to Kekius Maximus.
“I am Kekius Maximus, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and X, servant of the vision of human progress, father of many innovations, husband of the idea of interplanetary life. And I will achieve my goals, in this era or the next.”
