Scuba diving turns into a nightmare: ‘impossible to get back on the boat’.
During what should have been a wonderful escape, a 51-year-old Dutchwoman suddenly died.
The Dutch tourist was snorkelling on Australia's famous Great Barrier Reef. When she tried to return to her boat after the underwater activity, the woman began to feel unwell. A rescue helicopter arrived on the scene, but attempts to resuscitate her were to no avail: the 50-year-old died instantly.
Queensland Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of her death.
