Orca stares already for 32 years at the exit in tiny concrete swimming bowl (VIDEO)

Orca Kshamenk has been dubbed in the press as "the loneliest orca in the world". Indeed, the now 35-year-old animal has been living in poor conditions at aquarium Mondo Marino in Argentina for 32 years.

Kshamenk was captured 32 years ago and placed in a tiny, concrete water tank at the aquarium. Two other animals also captured at the time have already died in captivity.

Kshamenk is the last orca in Argentina to live in captivity, and animal activists believe it is high time that it ended. A timelapse they posted online shows the poor animal staring at the exit of its habitat for 24 hours straight, hoping that one day the gate will swing open. "Kshamenk urgently needs to be released," it sounds. "Before it's too late."
