EURO football party goes horribly wrong: police kill intruder
In eastern Germany, a party celebrating the start of the European Football Championship has turned into a tragedy.
A young man who had earlier attacked a man with a knife, according to German tabloid Bild, entered a house where some people were watching the opening game at EURO 2024 between Germany and Scotland. The man injured three people with a knife.
When the police showed up at the scene, the man also attacked the policemen. They opened fire and shot the man. He died of his injuries.
Nothing is yet known about the motive of his actions.
