5 gift ideas to celebrate Christmas without breaking the piggy bank
We can hear it coming, oh oh oh in the chimney, bells on the reindeer, “Jingle Bells” in the air… Christmas is getting ready to warm up our winter, enchant our retinas and spoil our little shoes. Without breaking the piggy bank.
While the red man with the white beard's feast is fast approaching, we're already wondering how to spoil our loved ones and decorate the top of the chimney or the bottom of the tree. Ribbons and tissue paper, surprise bags with golden notes, little stars as sticky paper… but what is hidden in the packaging?
While the latest crises, energy and health, have reshaped our daily lives and greatly influenced our minds, we are feverishly casting an eye at the piggy bank in the hope of being able to enter the circle of “the pleasure of giving-joy of receiving” without having to strip ourselves completely. And while we know that the essential lies far from wrapped presents, we still want to mark the occasion:
1. Decoration: We opt for the essential plaid or scented candle. You can find them everywhere and for all budgets. The candle will bring light to the grayness of winter and the plaid will wrap each household in its softness;
2. DIY: gifts made by yourself, we love! They give free rein to the imagination and allow for beautiful personalizations. Take two basic champagne flutes and add a little enchanted touch by mixing transparent glue with a pinch of glitter that you can apply to the stem of the glasses by using a small brush. All that's left to do is dry them and wrap them, and that's it!
3. The kitchen area: Are your parents chocolate fans? Spoil them with adorable chocolate spoons. All you need to do is melt 2 bars of dark chocolate in a bain-marie and pour the chocolate, once melted, into an ice cube tray, previously filled with a small mixture of dried fruits or cereals. Stick your small wooden spoons into each compartment of the tray, now filled with chocolate, and place your tray in the refrigerator to set everything.
4. Style: Two-piece fleece pajamas are always a hit during the holiday season, you can find them at low prices on the internet, and very often on sale. Don't hesitate to opt for a plain sweatshirt, in the color of your choice, and personalize it with special Christmas flocking.
5. Beauty: Today, multifunctional products are taking up more and more space in our bathrooms. We therefore recommend shea butter as a gift, a must for winter. It's a nourishing oil bath for dry and unruly hair, a body treatment just after the shower, or a balm for chapped lips damaged by the cold. In short, everything you need to pamper yourself at a lower cost!
