"Vladimir, don't do it. You can't do something like that"
Monday night we were able to listen live on X (formerly Twitter) to a conversation between Trump and his richest supporter, Elon Musk.
It was an exchange that was at times absurd and at other times laced with conspiracy theories. Between Donald Trump, who roundly criticized current U.S. President Joe Biden, and Musk who praised his favorite candidate, it never really became a deep intellectual conversation.
During the conversation, the billionaire claimed that Putin would never have launched his "special operation" (large-scale invasion) in Ukraine had Trump remained in power, and considered Joe Biden one of the causes of the outbreak of the conflict.
For his part, the Republican candidate argued that Russia had only started sending its troops after he left the White House. "I thought Putin was doing this to negotiate - because he's a good negotiator. And then Biden started saying stupid things - for example, he said Ukraine could be part of NATO. And as long as NATO existed, Russia has always said it would not agree to that," he added. This clearly proves that Biden "has a very low IQ."
"A great opinion" ... that's just one example of the flowers Elon Musk could throw at Trump during the exchange.
Later, the former White House resident spoke about his relationship with the Russian president, affirming that he had a good relationship with him and that he respected him. In particular, he recounted how he had tried to dissuade the Kremlin chief from attacking Ukraine: "I told him: don't do it. You can't do it, Vladimir".
