The face of defeat: "Putin is so groggy"
Ricardo Marquina, a correspondent for several Spanish media outlets in Moscow, said the impact of the Ukrainian attack on Russia was 'immense', admitting that he thought 'nobody saw it coming'.
For Ricardo Marquina: "Seeing that they have practically lost an entire region is a very big shock."
He also mentioned that after 16 years in Russia, he has never seen Putin "with such a bad face".
"He is out, out of sync, groggy," he said, stressing that all this has been a "very hard" blow for the country.
In fact, Putin acknowledged that the Russians are talking about "border operations" by the Ukrainians, without specifying that they are on Russian territory. "It's a very strong psychological blow", he concluded.
