Russian Army Surrounded: Moscow Troops in Dead End
The Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region has helped reduce the intensity of Russian raids and attacks in the neighboring Sumi region and other border areas by creating a 'buffer zone'.
Ukrainian State Border Service spokesperson Andre Demchenko said: "The Ukrainian defense forces' actions near the Sumi region create a buffer zone, which, of course, helps the neighboring territories to be shelled less frequently than before."
In addition, the Russian camp is completely stunned, as Ukrainian forces continue to advance into Russia, and in particular in the Kursk region. On Telegram, Russian soldiers spoke about the entire encirclement of troops there.
It seems that the surprise effect continues to work. According to Kyiv, several hundred Russian servicemen have surrendered since the start of the offensive, but their exact number has not been revealed.
