Panic in Russian army: increasing number of deserters
According to Ukrainian intelligence services, more and more soldiers of the Russian army want to lay down their arms: the number of Russian deserters is higher than ever in the past week.
The Kyiv Independent reports this based on intelligence from the Ukrainian military intelligence service: already more than 25,000 soldiers are said to have left the Russian army.
Most of the deserters are said to be men deployed in eastern Ukraine: about 12,000 soldiers, 10,000 conscripts and 3,000 volunteers.
