“Europe is an arsenal for democracy” (EU)
The European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, justified the EU's ability to invest in defense on Wednesday.
In his view, we need to overtake Russia in terms of military production. He declared that the European Union must support Ukraine and prevent future Russian attacks by becoming an “arsenal for democracy”.
“We have time to avoid a major conflict. We have the European Union and NATO, we're the largest single market and the largest military alliance in the world,” said the European defense chief in his speech to the annual conference of the European Defense Agency.
