“26,000 dollars a bottle, you’re crazy” says gold medal Olympic winner
A few days after the end of the Olympics, the Olympic champion wanted to celebrate her victories and have fun in a nightclub in the French capital. An experience that she frankly did not live down well and that she recounts on her TikTok account (with 5.3 million subscribers!).
“This club tried to make me pay $26,000 for a bottle of champagne. Are you crazy?”
In her video, Simone Biles expresses her indignation against the Parisian establishment and the exorbitant prices applied. $26,000 (or about 23,300 euros) for a bottle of champagne… An amount that Biles did not agree to pay. She also questions the amount: was it so expensive only for her or is it a standard price?
