Complexed, man spends $80,000 to...make his legs 17cm taller
Rarely, but sometimes, often, our complexes take their toll on our mood. When they become too intrusive, some people consider plastic surgery. Such is the case of Dynzell Sigers, a young man from Chicago, USA.
Finding that he was too short, this American decided to undergo bone lengthening in 2022. The painful procedure resulted in him gaining 17 centimetres, going from 1.65m to 1.82m. To get rid of his complex, Dynzell Sigers didn't hesitate to spend no less than $80,000.
On his social media networks, the young man shares his experience, which he says was very positive. Even though the process was long, he confesses to feeling much better in his sneakers (phew!). He told the New York Post: “Leg lengthening has given me the opportunity to change my life and the way I perceive it as a whole. I have no regrets and have decided to share my experience with the world so that other men who feel the same way will know that there's another option for them.”
Limb lengthening is a surgery that does not enjoy unanimous support in the medical profession, with some communities deeming it extremely invasive and unnecessary in many cases, the Upworthy website points out. In addition to being costly, the process requires one to two years of intense physical recovery.
