China's highest waterfall is fake: drone footage proves fake waterfall

A whopping 314 meters high, the Yuntai Waterfall is crowded with tourists in China. But there is a massive downside to this tourist hotspot....

Indeed, a tourist found out, thanks to images from his drone, that the Yuntai Waterfall's water comes not from a natural river, but from two sewage pipes.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people visit this wondrous place. But that may change in 2025.

The owners of Yuntai Mountain Park argue that they have no choice but to use sewage pipes for the waterfall. So they admit it is not a natural waterfall. “If we don't help nature a little, we can no longer guarantee value for money for the public. Because of this small intervention, tourists will not be disappointed when they make the far trip to photograph the waterfall,” sounds a press release from the park's management.
