Unmistakable message from the mafia
The Casamonica, a notorious crime family that has been active in and around Rome for decades, wants to silence an activist who has been fighting crime for years. Members of the Mafia clan allegedly left a black coffin outside the activist's door in Rome. But the targeted woman, Tiziana Ronzio, seems unimpressed by the no-holds-barred threat.
“These are stupid acts that only make us even angrier and make us fight even more,” she said. “I am not afraid, I am moving forward.”
Tiziana Ronzio is the chairwoman of Toripiubella. That is an anti-mafia group that regularly reports clan members to the police and testifies against the Mafiosi in court on behalf of local residents.
