Sabotage plunges entire Latin American country into darkness
Venezuela is without electricity. The entire country is affected, including Caracas, the capital. According to the Minister of People's Power and Communication Freddy Ñáñez, this is a large-scale sabotage.
As the Belgian diplomatic website for travelers (FPS Foreign Affairs) reminds us: "Following the presidential election of July 28, 2024, Venezuela is experiencing violence in public spaces." Since Friday, August 30, there has been no electricity. The country is experiencing a general blackout following sabotage against the electrical system. This is an official announcement by Freddy Ñáñez, Minister of People's Power and Communication in Venezuela. He also specifies that the 24 states are experiencing a total or partial loss of electricity supply.
