Panic as Ferris wheel suddenly catches fire

A Ferris wheel caught fire near the German city of Leipzig last weekend.

At the time the fire broke out, the attraction was packed with enthusiasts. The Ferris wheel was placed at the Highfield rock festival. 

As many as sixteen people were injured in the fire. Two of them reportedly suffered severe burns. 

"One nacelle caught fire, the flames then spread to a second cabin. There were mostly light injuries, including four police officers," stated Josephin Sader. Most of them were reported to have inhaled smoke.

After the accident, a total of 65 people received care. Sixteen people were taken to the hospital.
