33 Stradale: Everything's OK, it brakes hard and drives very fast
It brakes, it turns and it rolls. This will reassure its 33 customers, the Alfa Romeo Stradale 33 has passed all these tests: 33m to brake from 0 to 100km/h and 333km/h on the Nardò ring.
The prototype 00 of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale has been introduced to the Nardò circuit in Sicily (Italy). A track with a 4km diameter ring and 12.6km of asphalt to carry out tests at very high speeds. One of the objectives was to reach the maximum speed of 333km/h. Mission accomplished thanks to the 3.0l twin-turbo V6 of more than 620hp, with an 8-speed DCT robotized gearbox, driving the rear wheels. But that's not all.
Big brake
One of the other specifications was to ensure biting braking. On the Sicilian track, the 33 Stradale brakes from 100km/h to 0 in less than 33m. Say 33 to cure yourself of monotony with its active suspension chassis to stay on course. The test team also validated the maximum temperatures, the propulsion cooling systems and the soundproofing of the passenger compartment. All this before the first delivery, scheduled in Italy at the end of December 2024. It's no longer for sale, because the 33 examples have already found buyers.
