A helpful teenager became the victim of a gruesome rape in the Flemish city of Ghent.

On Monday evening, when she went to feed the neighbours' cats a bit further away, because those people were on holiday, an unknown man attacked her. The perpetrator pushed the 15-year-old girl back into the neighbour's house and pushed her to the ground. The man raped the child. Immediately after the event, the girl told her mother what had happened, whereupon the police were informed. They quickly reached the spot and were able to arrest the suspect near the residence.
