92-year-old arrested for rape and murder
After more than half a century, there has been a breakthrough in a gruesome murder case in the United Kingdom. The now 92-year-old perpetrator was taken into custody.
“A very important moment in a horrific case,” is how police are calling the arrest of a now 92-year-old man from Ipswich for the June 28, 1967 murder of 75-year-old Louisa Dunne at her home in Easton, Bristol.
The victim had been strangled and raped. For nearly 60 years, no suspect could be linked to the murder. But thanks to the reopening of the investigation in 2023, investigators focused on new evidence, among other things, and the prime suspect could just be apprehended. For now, nothing more was disclosed about the elderly perpetrator from Ipswich.
