Trump on disabled second cousin: 'Maybe people like that should just die'

To the outside world, the Trump clan seems to hang together strongly. But more and more cracks in the Trump family are becoming noticeable.

For instance, the Republican presidential candidate shocked his family members at the time by saying the following about his disabled second cousin when his nephew came to the White House for help: 'Maybe people with disabilities should be better off dying.' This is according to a new book about the former US president, 'All in the family: the Trumps and how we got this way'.

This new scandal revolves around a statement Trump made when he was president. He spoke the horrible words about William (25), his brother's grandson. That young man had to fight for his life right immediately after he was born. After three months, he was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare disorder that affected William both physically and cognitively. He ended up in a wheelchair as a result. But he should therefore not count on much understanding from his world-famous uncle.

“Maybe those kinds of people should just die,” given “the shape they’re in, all the expenses.”
