Colombian president calls Trump 'white slave trader': 'You think our race is inferior, but you will never dominate us'

Fresh US President Donald Trump has led his country into a diplomatic conflict with Colombia.

President Gustavo Petro crawled into his pen after his country succumbed to U.S. blackmail with trade tariffs. “You consider our race inferior, but you will never dominate us,” he echoed on X, after Colombia finally accepted Colombians deported from the US. The Colombian president also called Donald Trump a “white slave trader.”

Trump had announced sanctions against Bogota because Colombia refused planes carrying returned migrants. Trump asked his administration to impose “emergency tariffs” of 25 percent on all goods from Colombia entering the United States. Those tariffs would be raised to 50 percent after a week. After this, the Colombian president countered.

“You can try to stage an economic or political coup, but I will die with my principles. I resisted torture and now I resist you. I don't want slave traders anywhere near Colombia. We've had enough of those already. Lovers of freedom, on the other hand, are welcome.”

“I don't like your oil, Trump. The human race is being destroyed by greed. Maybe one day, over a glass of whiskey, we can talk about this frankly. But it is difficult because you consider our race inferior. I'm not, no Colombian is.”

“You don't like our freedom? Fine. In any case, I don't shake hands with white slave traders. If you strike me down, Mr. President, humanity will react. Do you want to kill me? Then I will live on in my people. You will never dominate us,” Petro concluded on social media.
