World's luckiest plumber millionaire thanks to valuable find?
A plumber from Vienna could not believe his eyes when he opened a special box he found last week in a villa he was working in.
The plumber was renovating a villa in Penzing, a residential area in the Austrian capital Vienna, when he found a buried rope in the basement. He thought that was strange and decided to dig the rope all the way out with a shovel and suddenly came across a metal box. He opened the ancient chest and could not believe his eyes: the box was packed with gold coins bearing the effigy of Austrian composer Mozart. All the gold coins together weigh as much as 30 kilograms. The find is said to be worth some 2.3 million euros, but to whom that astronomical sum will go is not yet immediately clear. Austrian authorities are looking into this unique find. Should the chest be judged a treasure, the owner of the villa and the plumber (the honest finder) are both entitled to half of the proceeds. The plumber would thus become an instant millionaire with his finder's fee!
