‘Don't touch me again. I don't want to have any more orgasms’

Babygirl, an erotic thriller to be released in early 2025, was no easy role for Nicole Kidman.

The upcoming thriller Babygirl, set for release in early 2025, has proven to be a challenging project for Australian-American actress Nicole Kidman.

During filming, Kidman revealed that she required frequent breaks. She plays Romy, the wife of Jacob (portrayed by Antonio Banderas), mother of two daughters, and CEO of a major company whose life takes a dramatic turn when she begins an affair with her young intern. Through him, she is introduced to the world of BDSM.

Although significant efforts were made to ensure the actors felt comfortable on set, Kidman told The Sun that some of the highly intimate scenes were extremely tough to perform. She admitted needing many breaks, as the role took an emotional and physical toll on her, saying it felt "almost like burnout." She shared: "There was so much vulnerability and trust, but also frustration. I didn’t want anyone touching me anymore." She added: "There were moments during filming when I thought: I don’t want to have an orgasm ever again. Don’t come near me. I hate this. I don’t care if I’m never touched again in my life!"

Despite these challenges, Kidman’s dedication earned her the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. Her performance in this new film by director Halina Reijn received widespread acclaim at the Venice Film Festival.
