Oasis: Ticket hunt opens tomorrow, will the server crash?

Tickets for Oasis' European concerts go on sale this Saturday, August 31st, at 9am, Paris, Brussels and Geneva time. Good luck!

It's funny to see that social media has been ablaze since the improbable announcement of a reunion that some have been waiting for for over 15 years. Of course, sarcasm has blossomed in the wake. The most teasing, as well as the most pessimistic, anticipate yet another argument between Liam and Noel Gallagher before the 2025 tour even kicks off at the Municipality Stadium in Cardiff (Wales), on July 4th and 5th.

It's true that the two guys have always had the annoying habit of getting onto each other's nerves for no reason.

The pre-sale for tickets for the European concerts opens on August 31 at 9am (Paris, Brussels and Geneva time) on the Ticketmaster platform, generating, as is always the case in this kind of situation, a mixture of anxiety, excitement and sometimes frustration among fans who have been (virtually) queuing since the middle of the night. It's not excluded that the platform, clogged by the number of simultaneous requests, will simply crash. This has already happened in the past. Yesterday night, Oasis announced three extra concerts (see the full list here under) meaning more stress for the reservation system.

Based on the dates currently planned, some people are laughing at the fact that Oasis' 2025 World Tour only visits Wales, Scotland, England and Ireland. Even if some fan accounts, often well-informed, already claim that dates in Canada, the United States and even Mexico will be announced soon. For Old Europe, Asia and other regions of the world, on the other hand, we have not heard any rumors.

What seems certain is that the two brothers have no intention of recording new songs for the occasion. Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" (by far their best album) is more than enough in their eyes. We must also not lose sight of the fact that this is mainly a reconciliation between Noel and Liam since, according to the information available at this time, only Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs on rhythm guitar should be part of the adventure. The other historic members are currently asked to stay at home!

As die-hard Manchester City fans, the brothers have decided to open the pre-sale of their first concert in their hometown to active supporters of the team founded in 1894. Nothing surprising about that, especially from Liam who regularly displays the colors of his favorite team on stage.

Even before the opening of pre-sales, like the Paris Olympics, some hotels are anticipating a rush of reservations and... are already increasing their rates accordingly! As for the two lads, they were reportedly promised a minimum of 50 million pounds sterling (nearly 60 million euros) each, according to the English daily "The Guardian"...

Questioned by his fans, Johnny Marr, for his part, once again rejected a reformation of the Smiths, claiming, as in the past, that it was impossible for him to tread the same stage as a supporter of the far-right theories dear to Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK. He is obviously referring to his former sidekick Morrissey!
