A tourist boat sank Monday morning on the Red Sea near the Egyptian coastal city of Marsa Alam. On board were 44 people, including 31 tourists.
The boat was en route for a diving excursion and was normally supposed to dock Friday in Hurghada, 200 kilometers away, but that went completely wrong. The tourist boat sank. A total of 31 people have already been rescued. Among them were two Belgians who were found alive after 24 hours. Already at least four people did not survive the shipwreck, Tuesday afternoon at least nine passengers would still be missing.
