Have you been storing your bread incorrectly all this time?

You just bought a delicious bread loaf to make tasty sandwiches at home... mmm, tasty! But how do we make sure that our bread stays fresh for as long as possible? You will definitely succeed with these tips!

Choose a paper bag
It's ideal to store the bread in a paper bag and then put it in a plastic bag. This way you keep that crispy crust and it stays soft.

Place your bread in a container
Put your bread in a bag and then in a bread container. There are many nice bread containers that brighten up your kitchen counter.

Buy unsliced bread
Uncliced bread stays fresh for longer because it has less chance to dry out. When cutting it, you can also choose the thickness you want.

Tip: when you start cutting your bread in the middle of the loadf, you can easily put the 2 halves back together so that it stays fresh for longer.

The freezer as a storage medium
Freezing your bread immediately after purchase ensures that it stays fresh for at least 2 weeks. You can freeze it in portions and then you can only take out what you need from the freezer. Then let it defrost at room temperature. If you need to do it quickly, you can defrost the bread in the microwave: half a minute on the lowest setting.

Still have leftover bread? Don't throw it away, but get to work with it in the kitchen: bread pudding, toast, French toast, bruschetta, croutons ...
