Will Vladimir Putin flee with rich Russians to this 'Noah's Ark'?
'Operation Noah's Ark' is what Abbas Gallyamov, Putin's former speechwriter and adviser, calls Putin's well-conceived escape plan. After all, the Russian president was to go into luxurious hiding on an island in Venezuela. Indeed, according to Gallyamov, Putin's entourage no longer rules out the possibility that the war could be lost and that Putin could lose all his power. In that case, Putin will have to leave in a hurry to escape from the hands of numerous opponents. To where? That would already be decided.
Putin's new homeland will have to agree not to extradite Russians and the elite will have to welcome him with open arms. Those are two conditions set. In the past two years, several properties on paradisiacal Isla Margarita in Venezuela have reportedly already been sold to Russians. Will that be Putin's new base of operations? Top Kremlin officials have reportedly been ordered to buy properties in Venezuela and put the paperwork in place to be allowed to live there. The lower echelons and Putin's government would previously flee to Argentina, Ecuador and Paraguay.
By the way, since 2 October of last year, Russian Nordwind Airlines has already been putting in a direct 14-hour flight between Moscow and the Venezuelan island of Isla Margarita. So everything seems to be in readiness for Putin's flight, an army of interpreters and Russian inscriptions on the island included. But for now, therefore, Putin still lives in the Kremlin and the bloody war in Ukraine continues.
