“The US knew…30 minutes before the launch”
According to Moscow, Washington was aware that the Russian armed forces were going to fire an intercontinental ballistic missile on Ukraine.
As reported by the Russian press, this is what Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, claims. 30 minutes before its hypersonic missile launch, Russia had warned the United States. In particular, Peskov emphasizes that Moscow maintains “constant communication” with Washington on the nuclear issue.
While the Kremlin accuses the United States of intensifying tensions in Ukraine by authorizing the use of long-range missiles on Russian targets, White House spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, assures that “it's Russia that's provoking the escalation”. She adds: “The major escalation is that Russia is turning to another country,” referring to the sending of North Korean soldiers in support of Russia.
