Ukraine ready to strike Moscow with upgraded missiles

While Donald Trump's rise to power doesn't bode well for Ukrainian forces and their supply of weapons from the United States, Kiev is keen to acquire military autonomy.

Currently dependent on American ATACMS missiles, French SCALP missiles and British Storm Shadow missiles, Ukraine is working with the means at its disposal to improve its own Trembita missiles.

The Trembita missiles have the advantage of not costing much money ($10,000 each compared to $1 million for an ATACMS), they're light and have a short range. The objective here would be to increase their range, from 145 kilometers to 650. This, in order to be able to reach Moscow.

These missiles, even improved, will never be able to compete with the SCALP, Storm Shadow or ATACMS, but could be used against Russian industrial sites.

As reported by L’Indépendant, the Ukrainian armed forces hope to be able to use the new Trembita within 1 year.
