Trump wants to stop “the carnage” in Ukraine

According to CNN, Newly-elected US President Donald Trump said he had made “little progress” on resolving the war in Ukraine.

During his speech, Trump said the number of casualties “on both sides” (Ukraine and Russia) was probably much higher than previously reported.

“We're trying to stop the war, this horrible, horrible war that's unfolding in Ukraine, in Ukraine, in Russia. It's difficult, it's unpleasant,” Trump said.

During his election campaign, new US President Donald Trump said he planned to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. Specifically, he promised Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, that he would reach a fair deal for everyone.

Recently, Mr. Trump and Mr. Zelensky held talks in Paris. According to Reuters, during the negotiations, the Ukrainian leader explained to the President-elect of the United States the need to obtain security guarantees for Ukraine.
