"The Putin system is on the verge of collapse"
For this researcher and specialist in international issues, the Russian regime is much more fragile than most people think, due to the extreme personalization of power by the Kremlin master, who is becoming increasingly distant from reality.
For Maksim Samorukov, a researcher at the Russia-Eurasia Centre in Berlin, Putin's regime is on the verge of collapse:
"The nature of the Russian regime makes it vulnerable because it is completely dependent on the decision of one person. This concentration of power has been further reinforced by the war in Ukraine. So much so that with each new problem the regime reacts only according to the point of view and personal bias of one autocrat."
And the researcher continues:
"With such a system, it is impossible not to make mistakes. Especially since this man, Vladimir Putin, is getting older and more and more distant from reality. His obsession with Ukraine means that he ignores all other issues and the overheating of the Russian economy."
An interesting and relevant analysis, to say the least.
