The Iranian plan to assassinate Trump
The United States has received information in recent weeks about an Iranian plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump. News channel CNN brings this striking news today.
The US television channel spoke to several people who have received this information. The Secret service, which is responsible for Trump's security, reportedly took measures after it discovered the Iranian assassination plans.
Nevertheless, a young man managed to open fire on the Republican presidential candidate last weekend, injuring him on the face by ricocheting off shards of glass. However, this attempted assassination has nothing to do with Iranian plans to eliminate the former president, CNN stresses.
It is unclear whether Trump's own campaign team was aware of the Iranian threat. According to CNN, the Secret Service did advise Trump on several occasions not to organise rallies outdoors, as they are difficult to secure.
