Russian provocation: spy ships violate Danish waters
A Russian spy ship was caught mapping Danish infrastructure.
Denmark is increasingly concerned that Russian ships are getting dangerously close to its strategic infrastructure, such as wind farms and submarine cables.
Experts believe it is technically possible for Russia to place undetectable underwater explosives on this infrastructure and detonate them in case of conflict, which would plunge Denmark into an energy disaster.
Off the Norwegian coast of Svalbard, submarine cables have already been cut by the Russians, without Norwegians really being affected.
This kind of manoeuvre fits squarely into Russia's hybrid war against the West, and it is difficult for states to do anything about it without a direct confrontation with Moscow.
