Russia acknowledges Ukrainian success with U.S. ATACMS missiles

Twice in recent days, Ukraine has fired American ATACMS missiles at Russian targets. Moscow admits that several missiles hit their targets.

The U.S. ATACMS missiles have a range of 300 kilometers.

On Nov. 23, “installations” near the village of Lotarevka, in the Kursk border region, were hit. On Monday, the Ukrainian attack targeted the Kursk-Vostochny airfield.

'Unable to intercept all U.S. missiles'
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on Nov. 23, Russian anti-aircraft defenses took out three of the five ATACMS missiles fired. In the Nov. 25 attack, seven of the eight missiles fired were reportedly intercepted.

Moscow is already promising a strong response to the attack, saying it is already preparing a retaliatory strike. President Vladimir Putin has recently threatened attacks on countries that supply weapons to Ukraine.
