Putin's main goal is terrifying
Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president and prime minister, has suggested that "Moscow will achieve its goal of destroying the Ukrainian state within a decade".
The Kremlin news service (TASS) published such hallucinatory headlines as "Medvedev admitted Ukraine will cease to exist in 2034" and "Medvedev admitted Ukraine will cease to exist in 2034, he predicted its demise".
Medvedev's suggestion that Russia will be able to "destroy Ukraine" by 2034 is undoubtedly a promise to the Russian people that Moscow will be able to win the war and achieve its goal of destroying the Ukrainian state within a decade.
